Sheena Dignam, a Franco-Irish food and wine enthusiast, honed her craft and passion during her upbringing and culinary studies in France’s illustrious Loire Valley. For over 15 years, her dedication to the food industry has driven her success, notably with Galway Food Tours, which she launched over a decade ago, earning national and international accolades.
Kilkenny, with its exceptional producers, brewers, and chefs, has always been a place Sheena wanted to curate her tours, Now, she’s thrilled to bring her award-winning tour experience here.

A passion for Irish food, culture, and craic.
Claire’s deep roots in the hospitality industry began in her family’s bar in County Kilkenny. With a childhood spent visiting her granny’s ancestral home in Galway, it was a natural move for her to settle there over 15 years ago. She’s since become an integral part of Galway Food Tours, sharing her passion for the local culinary scene. While her love for Galway’s food is evident, she also holds a special affection for the incredible restaurants, producers, and chefs back home in Kilkenny.
Her enthusiasm for walking, swimming, and the outdoors, combined with a keen interest in GAA, the arts and culinary world, perfectly embodies the unique spirit of Ireland. On tour, Claire lights up when sharing insights into Ireland’s rich food and cultural landscape, always with a smile and a good dose of “craic.” When she’s not guiding a food tour, Claire loves to travel and explore other cultures, though she firmly believes that nothing compares to the wonderful produce found right here on our doorstep.
